On behalf of our Board of Directors, Ambassadors and nearly 500 Chamber
members, the Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce staff is excited to present
the 2004–2005 Community and Business Resource Book. For more than
a century, the Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated
to helping our community thrive and making this a place local citizens
are proud to call "home." We continue to work very hard to
bring our members continued value for their membership.
In 2005, Freeport will celebrate its 150th birthday. Our roots in this
community are deep: the Chamber of Commerce itself, our health care
system, several businesses and churches, and our schools all go back
more than a century. Yet we look ahead to enjoying many wonderful new
assets, including the new library, the Rawleigh Building renovation,
the Jane Addams Trail and many other positive additions to our community.
We anticipate our future and continued progress in the Freeport area.
We are pleased to showcase Freeport and tell our story in this book.
We appreciate the many members who chose to participate in supporting
