Worship
Faith is rooted deeply in Red Oak. A community known for reaching out to its neighbors, Red Oak is spiritually and socially active.
Red Oak is home to over 20 different houses of worship that represent all major denominations and include numerous independent congregations. Church buildings in the city and area are as varied in their external architecture as are the styles of worship, prayer and music their parishioners enjoy during religious services. Citizens who choose to worship in a church community can find traditional liturgy as well as contemporary, spontaneous worship. Area residents and visitors have ample opportunities to grow in their faith through worship services, Sunday school, Bible study groups, choir, musical outreach and many other fellowship activities.
Pastors of local congregations have joined together not only to support each other in their spiritual missions, but also to make a difference in the everyday lives of Red Oak residents and visitors through the Montgomery County Ministerial Fellowship. The Fellowship maintains an emergency fund to help local families facing financial difficulties like medical and utility bills. In addition to assisting local families, the Fellowship is there to offer help to those passing through the community who may need assistance with food, lodging or gas expenses.
The Red Oak Chamber of Commerce and the local newspaper, The Red Oak Express, maintain current lists of worship services. There is a congregation waiting for you.
