Boating

Boating is another popular pastime in the area; many “Dubuquers” take to the river in the summer and fall months in such watercraft as ski boats, houseboats and fishing boats. Many marinas are nestled at the river’s edge to provide mooring during the boating season, which lasts from May to October. Some marinas offer boat rentals. Water skiing and tubing are popular, as is fishing both the main channel and the backwaters of the Muddy Mississippi.
