Dubuque Greyhound Park and Casino hosts live dog racing from May through October. There’s nothing more exciting than watching one of the world’s fastest animals race around the beautifully landscaped track. Watch from the comfort of the indoor clubhouse, with tabletop color television monitors, or outside, up close, at the very edge of the action. Year-round, guests can enjoy simulcast racing from the nation’s top tracks. The casino boasts 600 slot machines, including traditional favorites like Red, White and Blue; Double Diamonds; and Sizzling 7’s. This entertainment venue also has interactive multi-coin video games with 1-cent, 2-cent, nickel, quarter, $1 and $5 games. Full-service dining, an extensive buffet, sandwiches, popcorn, pizza and snacks are also offered.

The Diamond Jo Casino is housed aboard a working paddle wheeler. Over 725 slots and video machines are available, as are table games like Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Stud and Let It Ride. Games are located on three spacious levels. Dining options include the newly renovated Lighthouse Grill, which features both a buffet and a menu, and The High Steaks Restaurant, which offers fine dining. Both are located in the casino’s Portside Building. The Diamond Deli, for sandwiches and snacks, is located on the third level of the casino. The Diamond Jo is open seven days a week, and the casino has 24-hour gaming on Fridays and Saturdays. Beginning in April and throughout the summer months, the Diamond Jo Casino takes one early morning cruise Monday through Friday.
