Dubuque Community School District

The Dubuque Community School District consists of three public high schools, three public junior high schools and 11 public elementary schools. A new public middle school, located on the city’s far west side, will be completed for the 2005 school year. No matter what your choice for living arrangements, there is a school nearby.

• In the downtown/north end area, schools include Prescott Early Childhood Center for 3 to 8-year-olds; Fulton Inter-mediate Center, Prescott’s companion school for students in third through sixth grades; Audubon Elementary; Marshall Elementary; Sageville Elementary, for students in the far north; Jefferson Junior High; and Central Alternative High School.

• Centrally located schools in the Dubuque community include Irving Elementary, Jones and Washington Junior High Schools and Senior High School.

• In the western and southern portions of town are Bryant, Hoover, Table Mound, Eisenhower and Kennedy Elementary schools and Hempstead High School.
