Courses and facilities in Peoria have made the city a regional golfing destination
Along with the variety of courses and the year-round Golf Learning Center provided by the Peoria Parks District, the Peoria area also boasts other quality golfing hot-spots.
Coyote Creek Golf Club
Just south of Peoria in nearby Bartonville, the 18-hole Coyote Creek Golf Club combines natural beauty with a wide range of challenges for golfers of all skill levels. The course was designed by the late Bruce Borland, who worked with Jack Nicklaus on many of his signature golf courses at Golden Bear International. Coyote Creek also provides a pro shop, shower and locker rooms, and a large dining room and meeting facilities.
WeaverRidge Golf Club
Just minutes west of downtown Peoria, WeaverRidge has received national recognition, including being named the No. 1 golf course in Illinois in the 2009 Zagat survey and being included on Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” list in 2008. This championship course is also home to an outstanding restaurant and banquet facility.
