Located in the southeast corner of Kansas, Crawford County is in close proximity to both regional and national markets, providing a favorable factor for businesses, industries, and families considering locating here. Crawford County is home to more than 35,000 people along with Pittsburg State University, and nurtures a friendliness to be envied by those living in large metropolitan areas. Although the area is undoubtedly progressive, there is a rural flavor that attracts residents and visitors alike. As we look to the future and work toward further expansion and progress, we also respect our traditions and history.

Along with the many business opportunities and educational and health care benefits, there are annual festivals, museums, and outdoor recreation that keep us busy all year. The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau have successfully provided community leadership and are dedicated to sustaining a vital business climate, which provides the foundation for future successes. All of this contributes to the quality of life that we enjoy in this corner of the state.
